Couples Personal Training Minneapolis | Healing Meets Hustle

Two bodies.
Two programs.
One session.

Not a shared workout you're both forced to fit into. Two programs — each built for a different body, a different history, a different starting point — running side by side in your home.

A program built
for both of you
usually ends up
working for neither.

Most couples training assumes you're at the same fitness level, dealing with the same issues, and want the same things. That's almost never true. One of you is managing something chronic. One of you has more experience. One of you is scared to push and the other is frustrated by how slow things are moving.

A program that tries to average out two very different bodies isn't built for either of them. And when it doesn't fit, you both stop — every time.

That's not a motivation problem. That's a design problem.

One person gets pushed too hard.

When chronic pain or injury is in the picture, shared programs almost always prioritize the person without it. The one who's managing something ends up past their actual threshold — and pays for it.

The other person gets held back.

Being slower than your partner in a shared program is demoralizing. And being the one who always has to wait — or scale everything down — gets old fast.

Nothing was built for your actual histories.

Two people means two bodies with two completely different stories. Generic programs can't hold that. Something individualized can.

What it looks like
when both of you
actually have a plan.

Two individualized programs, one session, in your home. Each of you gets what your body needs — and you get to do it together.

🌿

Your program. Your pace.

You're in the same room doing the same session — but your program is built for your body, your history, and where you're actually starting from. Not averaged out. Individualized.

Different levels. No problem.

One of you managing something chronic, one brand new to training — I build for where each person actually is. No one gets pushed past their threshold. No one gets held back.

In your home. I bring everything.

No juggling two gym schedules. No competing for equipment. Your space, your time, both of you — one session that works for everyone.

Two people. Two assessments.
Two programs.
One coach managing both.

Here's exactly how the process works — from the first conversation to an ongoing session that genuinely serves both of you.

01

A call with both of you

30 minutes. I want to hear from each of you — your histories, your movement patterns, what you've tried, what you're hoping for. We understand both bodies before I build anything.

02

Individual assessments, same session

Your first full session includes a movement assessment for each of you. I find what each body is working with, what's compensating, and where each person needs to start. Two assessments, one session.

03

Two programs, running concurrently

Both programs run side by side. You're in the same room, working at the same time, on programs specific to each of you. I manage both — adjusting continuously as you each progress.

A real client — a tradesperson managing chronic pain, training alongside his wife — on what made this different from everything they'd tried before.

Tradesperson managing chronic hip & back pain · Roseville
"Ellie worked with both me and my wife to create individualized programs, along with exercises we could do together — which has been great for staying motivated. She worked around my job in the trades, showing me things I can do before and after work to keep the discomfort manageable. Highly recommend."
